Rarely open to the public, late summer is the perfect time to see this amazing arboretum with its famous Champion Trees and the stunning blue lake.
Visitors are welcome to join a guided tour led by Sir Henry Elwes. Tours start at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and last up to 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace.
The nearby St. James’ Church will also be open in the afternoon.
Have a picnic in the shade of the trees or enjoy tea, coffee and homemade cakes in the tea room.
