The British Cactus & Succulent Society Portsmouth & District Autumn Show is a must-visit event for anyone with an interest in cacti, succulents and unusual plants. Taking place on Saturday 26th September, the show will be held at Christ Church Hall, London Road, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3NB.
The event runs from 10am until 4pm. Many of the exhibits are prize-winning specimens, displayed by members of the local Portsmouth & District branch of the British Cactus and Succulent Society. Experienced growers will also be available throughout the day to answer questions, offer cultivation advice and help visitors learn more about caring for their own plants.
As well as the competitive displays, the Autumn Show offers an opportunity to purchase a wide range of cacti and succulents. Refreshments will be available, making it a relaxed and friendly occasion for both experienced enthusiasts and newcomers to the hobby. Plant sales continue until 3.30pm. Admission is £1.50, while children aged 12 and under can attend free of charge.
